Virtual Tour FAQs
Answers to your questions..
What is a virtual tour?
A virtual tour is a simulated first-person view of an actual location allowing the viewer to move through the location by viewing a series of 360 degree panoramic images.
Each 360 degree panoramic image is a composition of a number of still photographs stitched together to form an uninterrupted view of a given location.
Can I view your tours on my iPad or iPhone?
All of our new tours are compatible with the iPad/ iPhone, Android Smartphones/ Tablets, some Smart TV’s, and other connected devices.
I have plenty of photos on my website so I am not sure that I need a virtual tour. Why do I need one?
Here are some excellent reasons you need a tour:
Website visitors now expect to see them, particularly on mobile devices.
Static photographs – no matter how good they are , do not convey the feeling of actually being there. Looking around, interacting and engaging with your potential customers is so important these days. You do not get this from either photographs or video.
You have invested time and money in your business, you are passionate about it. Virtual tours are the best way to promote your business, your venue, your property online – without a doubt.
What kind of businesses can use Virtual Tours?
Businesses form very different economic areas employ Virtual Tours in order to bring their websites to life and present themselves to their customers in the best light - from hotels to B&Bs, to universities and playgrounds and from estate agents and councils to showrooms and wedding venues.
How will my business benefit?
Virtual Tours are a cost effective way of showing off to your customers that allows them to visit your premises 24 hours a day without the cost and hustle associated with travel and the interest of your clients visiting your website will dramatically improve.
How will my customers benefit?
How would you feel to be able to see every inch of every room of the house that you heard about and might be interested in buying, but which is situated at hundreds of miles away, or in a different country? (Or maybe just at one hour drive away?)
Would the fact that you've "seen around" your hotel room that you've booked for your dream holiday make you stay assured that you took the right choice? And would you feel more tempted to visit a tourist attraction if you were able to explore it sitting in front of your computer while making your holiday plan?
Your customers are no different! People like to see what they are going to get and in this day and age, when more and more people are using the Internet as their main research tool there is no excuse for not exploiting this way of attracting new customers to its full potential.
I have a fancy camera, can’t I just do this myself?

How long does a virtual tour shoot take?
For most businesses, the shoot lasts about 1-2 hours. Then we go back to the office and begin the post-production process. Within 1 week, your tour will be LIVE across all Google Platforms!
Can people be present for the Google Tour?
Yes. Customers and employees can be present, but their faces will be blurred to ensure privacy.
Many business owners prefer to show the business in its pure state and without people and we can shoot early or late if you prefer this look.

It will then take a few days for our development team to stitch the images together and build the 360° virtual tour. The Street 7 design and development team will also put together the map and interface of the tour during this time. Once post production is complete, the virtual tour can be online within just a few days of the photographs being taken.
What preparation should I do before the shoot?
Your venue or location should look exactly how you want it to look to your audience! You should make sure your venue is tidy and with minimal people around to ensure the shots are taken as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
If you are having a virtual tour shot of your house or a property your are selling, you may want to de-clutter and depersonalise it.
How do I pay?
Arrangements for payment will be made at the time of booking.
My virtual tour is outdoors, what about the weather?
For a high quality virtual tour, the weather needs to be just right and if not our photographer would not shoot your venue or location.
If the weather proved to be too cold, whereby rain or wind would make it hard to photograph or on the other hand, too hot, whereby humidity would steam up a camera lens, we could not photograph that day.
However if weather conditions are not favourable on the day of the shoot, we will contact a client on the morning and reschedule.
